I wouldn't recomend overclocking unless you have a lot of money, If you decide to do it anyways, do it on a computer lying around in the basement. The catch is it has a higher chance of working on higher end hardware...

Overclocking a dangerous, if you're going to overclock a CPU use a c2 extreme, they were built to be overclocked.

I've still got a AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 2ghz stock. Got it running @ 2.62 ghz thanks to a great Mobo for overclocking. I overclock the smack outta everything, but i have aftermarket fans on all major components.

Freezer Pro 7 is great. Put one on my sons cpu. I also run Artic Cooling fans for the Case,CPU and the GPU. Great quality for a great price.
